What's stopping you from taking the next step?

One of the most common things I hear from others when talking about music is how they REGRET having abandoned their music studies when they were younger. I actually have a similar story; but can attest that it's never too late to study music. I also appreciate the importance of rigorous study at a young age and the importance of it being fun and productive.

But why can't I just study music on my own, you might say? As a DIY-er in many fields, I have a real appreciation for hiring professionals. To me, every time I start a new DIY project I am always left saying D-I-WHY!?!??!? Sure, the information is out there, but working with a professional will save you time and money by helping you find and learn the right information more quickly, including what you don't know that you don't know!

Along these lines you might be thinking that studying music is too expensive. If you take into consideration that your music studies are an every day activity, and not just a single, weekly meeting, then it's just a few dollars a day to help you improve to your desired goals.

A little about me…

I’m Daniel Coe, a professional composer, multi-instrumentalist and music educator located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

I received a Bachelor of Music Education from Ithaca College in 2002 and a Masters in Music Composition from the University of Florida in 2004. Since graduating, in addition to teaching I have been working professionally as a composer and arranger with acts such as The New York Dolls, Aerosmith, Yoko Ono and Ringo Starr.

One can hear music that I have composed around the world on various television programs, including multiple placements on Saturday Night Live. I also continue to work behind the scenes in music preparation on numerous theatrical motion pictures and concert events (such as the infamous 2022 Academy Awards). I taught at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul prior to its unfortunate closure.

But long before I was in music professionally, I loved to share music with others. Even when just starting piano lessons as a youngster I was encouraging others to play and enjoy music with me. It is this enthusiasm that I aim to impart through my teaching.

I offer music lessons on many instruments. Piano lessons, guitar lessons, trumpet lessons, french horn lessons, and many other instruments of the band. I am a member of the Minnesota Music Teacher's Association (MMTA), Music Teacher's National Association (MTNA), The Society of Composers and Lyricists (The SCL), and the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).

I'm located in Eden Prairie and close to Chanhassen, Minnetonka, Excelsior, Victoria, Chaska, and Edina.
